Is the world in a panic because of the swine flu outbreak?

Is this the pandemic that many thought the bird flu, or the west nile virus, would cause thousands to die? Do you feel sickly? Do you feel paranoid, like if you go out of the house, like to the store, or to the mall, or catch a movie, that you will get it from someone? Are you cooped up in your house, crying, scared, nervous, anxious, and apprehensive about getting it?

I went to the Australian Answers and they are freaked out about it, which I don’t get, since Mexico and America are the countries with it!
